Hong Kong

With its roots in Hong Kong, JOS has built Asia's largest distribution and service network for IT and related products. Jardine OneSolution customers enjoy tremendous synergy and consistent service delivery through a single point of contact.

Yet, no matter where it operates, Jardine OneSolution embodies the same customer-driven approach to solutions and services. That consistency is something that customers appreciate whether they are local firms, regional players or multinationals.

JOS customers in Hong Kong include the likes of Citibank, Lloyds TSB, Nomura Securities, Cathay Pacific, China Light & Power, Towngas, MTR Corporation, KCRC, Gammon Skanska and the Government of the Hong Kong SAR.

Singapore

In Singapore, Jardine OneSolution' is continuing its steady climb to the highest levels of the IT industry. Today its core business is the provisioning of IT solutions and services, mainly to the commercial, healthcare, education and government sectors.

Running the gamut from the mass distribution of IT products to resellers across the nation state, to system integration projects for blue chip customers and government, JOS customers in Singapore include such well known financial services firms as Citibank, Standard Chartered and The Royal Bank of Scotland, transportation and logistics organisations such as Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit, telecommunications operators such as M1, SingTel, and StarHub as well as trading and commercial operations such as Allen & Gledhill and Invensys.

Jardine OneSolution is also a major supplier to the Singapore Government, working with the ministries of Finance, Defence, the Land Transport Authority and the Infocomm Development Authority on a wide variety IT projects.

Malaysia

JOS's operations in Malaysia are geared to providing customers with services and solutions that cover the entire technology management lifecycle.

Customers, ranging from government bodies to large commercial organisations, rely on JOS for a wide range of technical solutions including operational support and technology sustainment services.

JOS customers in Malaysia include well known financial services organisations such as Hong Leong Bank and Allianz Life Insurance; transportation and logistics firms including Malaysia Airports Bhd, AIROD Sdn Bhd and Edaran Tan Chong Motor; utilities and telecommunications operators such as Telekom Malaysia and YTL Power Services. It also supports trading and commercial organisations such as Mydin Mohamed & Sons, Berjaya Group Berhad, as well as other well-known names such as Stamford College, ORIX Rentex (M), and Hilton Hotel.

Jardine OneSolution also works closely with the Malaysian Government, where its customers include the Fire Brigade (Jabatan Bomba), the Finance Ministry (Kementerian Kewangan) and the Prime Minister's Department (Jabatan Perdana Menteri).

China

JOS entered the China market in the early 1990s. The economy is growing rapidly, however, China's IT industry is still maturing. This has created a tremendous demand from customers - in both the public and private sector - for the specialist services that JOS delivers.

Jardine OneSolution continues to expand its customer base through value-added and competitive service and product offerings. And its strategy for achieving them is simple - provide the value added services that are the hallmark of JOS across Asia.

The company now has more than 300 experienced staff and offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Macau. Major customers come from government departments and the growing ranks of multinational companies in sectors such as banking and finance, trade and commerce, transportation, logistics and manufacturing.

JOS' customers in China include such well known names as the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation and Citibank, Cathay Pacific and Federal Express, Town Gas and Northern Telecom, Hutchison Whampoa and the Li and Fung Group, Pesi-Cola and Honda, Bloomberg, the BBC, and Walt Disney. In nearby Macau, JOS customers include the Macao Polytechnic Institute, the Cultural Institute and the Financial Services Directorate, among others.

Milestones

1950s	Appointed exclusive Canon agent for Hong Kong - the beginning of a long heritage in the IT industry.
1989	Acquired Metrolink Telecom, a major PABX telecommunication systems provider in Hong Kong offering Nortel solutions, marking the Group's venture into the telecommunication market.
1990	Acquired ABA Office Automation, a leading computer reseller in Hong Kong, strengthening the Group's presence in local computer market and offering much-expanded portfolio of IT products and services.
1993	Opened first PRC office in Shanghai.
1994	Acquired MCL MetroLink, a leading cabling services provider, to enhance JOS' capabilities to implement network infrastructure solution as part of the initiatives to build up a computer-centric business model.
1995	Jardine Office Systems division was re-branded as JOS Technology Group to reflect the expanded scope of the group's business. PRC offices established in Beijing and Guangzhou, with Shanghai providing national support for multinational corporations.
1996	Acquired the System-Pro Group, one of the largest systems integrators and application solutions providers in Hong Kong, establishing the leadership position in local market. This acquisition also gave the Group a foothold in Singapore and Malaysia.
1998	Acquired the IT distribution business of Microware Distributors to become one of the largest IT distributors in Hong Kong.
1999	Acquired Automation & Computer Engineering, a leading IT distributor in Malaysia. This signified the start of the Group's strategic expansion into the region. Acquired the systems integration business of Berkeley Systems, which doubled the size of the Group's Malaysian corporate business. Acquired CSA Distribution in Singapore, a leading local IT distributor. This marked the Group's entry into IT distribution in Singapore.
2000	Acquired the systems integration and technical services divisions of Fullmark Micro, which significantly enhanced the Group's corporate business in Singapore. Acquired beSign Media, a leading web design and multimedia production business in Hong Kong, which marked a significant acceleration of the Group's e-enabling capabilities. Acquired CSA Distribution in Malaysia, another leading IT distributor in the country, which consolidated the Group's market position in Malaysia. Acquired Prodata Computer Systems, a leading systems integrator in Singapore, which gave the Group a significant presence in the market. Acquired GHL Infosys, one of the largest systems integrators in Malaysia, with a nationwide service capability.JOS Technology Group renamed as Jardine OneSolution in July, new corporate branding for the Group's IT businesses in the region.
2001	Established JOS Synergy, a joint venture with Telus International, a leading consulting and outsourcing services company in North America to provide IT consulting and outsourcing services in Asia. Formation of JOS JD Edwards, under partnership agreement with JD Edwards, further enhances the Group's capability in offering ERP solutions.
