As Mandarin Oriental built and planned their latest project in Pudong Shanghai, one challenge was to ensure we lay down the technological foundations so guests to the 580-plus-room property stay connected, but also providing the platform for future tech-enabled advancement in business operations and customer experience.

At the base of MO’s infrastructure was a connectivity network designed and implemented by HKBN JOS – a one-stop comprehensive solution including Ruckus wireless network, Cisco NEC IPT switch, related software and server management, Dell servers and storage systems with Hyper V installation and management, overall project management covering procurement and installation of all components.

It was a truly team effort – we were building and renovating the property so installing an all-encompassing connectivity network is like changing the tires while driving it, but HKBN JOS brought in their deep experience and the necessary people to manage this end-to-end and delivered on-requirement, on-time and on-budget.
